News and Events

Cakes by CandyI am proud to announce that Cakes by Candy is open for business! After 22 years serving Dumas and the Texas panhandle (and beyond!), I have a new location on 7th Street in Dumas. As always, you can count on the highest quality cakes, cookies, and tasty treats for any and all occasions. Feel free to browse around the website. You’ll find pictures of my creations, and here on this main page, I will occasionally post a new creation, and perhaps tell a story or two while I’m at it!

On Tuesday, December 30, I will be having a ribbon-cutting ceremony to give the business an official start, even though the kitchen has been churning out cakes and cookies for a week already. You just can’t keep a good baker down! As a matter-of-fact, my good friends and regular customers have been calling and ordering so many cakes and cookies, I had to push my vacation back a day just to fit everyone in!

    Candy,
Congratulations and Best of luck on this new chapter in your life. I know that you are doing what you have been doing for so many years, but you are now doing it in such an official way . I am so excited for you and so glad that you will continue to be baking your goodies. Less than a year ago you made my beautiful wedding cake and I would have hated for anyone else to not have that same opportunity that I had to have something so beautiful. God Bless you my friend and may you have years and years of prosperity in your new business. Love ya!!! Tonya
