On Tuesday, December 30, 2008, Cakes by Candy had an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Dumas Chamber of Commerce. Representatives from several Dumas businesses were present, and wished Candy great success with her new store.

In addition to area businessmen and women, several of Candy’s long-time friends and customers were in attendance.

Cakes by CandyI am proud to announce that Cakes by Candy is open for business! After 22 years serving Dumas and the Texas panhandle (and beyond!), I have a new location on 7th Street in Dumas. As always, you can count on the highest quality cakes, cookies, and tasty treats for any and all occasions. Feel free to browse around the website. On Tuesday, December 30, I will be having a ribbon-cutting ceremony to give the business an official start, even though the kitchen has been churning out cakes and cookies for a week already. You just can’t keep a good baker down! As a matter-of-fact, my good friends and regular customers have been calling and ordering so many cakes and cookies, I had to push my vacation back a day just to fit everyone in!
